Sean worked at CIBC Investor Services Inc. as a financial advisor where he was responsible for a portfolio of over $100 million that consisted of cash, credit and investment products. During his tenure at CIBC, he also attended York University. Sean currently has an honours degree in finance. Prior to obtaining his degree, he acquired the Certified Financial Planning (CFP) designation with the Financial Planning Standards Council and the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation with the Canadian Securities Institute.
Sean has 15 years of experience. He was recruited at George Brown College by CIBC as a mutual fund sales representative. From this position, he moved within the organization and ultimately became a financial advisor which he worked as for eight years.
Sean’s career highlights include increasing the size of his portfolio by approximately 100% during his tenure, an accomplishment he’s proud of. He was able to build great relationships with not only his clients but his peers as well. Bringing this same mindset to the securities specialist role will allow Sean to succeed in this position. Being a contributor to the team is what drives Sean to be the best. He loves to know that he has contributed to an individual’s success; this is what he enjoys the most about the securities industry.
Sean spends his personal time with his wife and two kids.
He enjoys kicking the ball around with his son and watching movies with his daughter. His long-term vision is to build great relationships with all the advisors he supports.
Knowing that he takes advisors’ and clients’ personal and financial situation seriously should make clients and the advisors comfortable in doing business with him.
